Waycon Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage projects from initial quotation through design and manufacture. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects meet customer requirements, schedule, and quality expectations in a custom machining and fabrication environment.

Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and production teams.
- Experience with machining (horizontal and vertical milling, turning), welding, fabrication, jigs, and fixturing.
- Knowledge with machining fits, material properties and selection, and heat treatment processes.
Duties
- Manage projects from RFQ through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and technical requirements are met.
- Review RFQs and prepare accurate, competitive quotations.
- Design and develop custom equipment, components, and systems based on customer specifications.
- Create 3D models in SolidWorks and produce accurate, shop-ready manufacturing drawings.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support the shop floor during manufacturing to address technical questions and design refinements.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 7 years of project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working Hours
- Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.
