- Experience with machining (horizontal and vertical milling, turning), welding, fabrication, jigs, and fixturing.
- Knowledge of machining fits, material selection, heat treatment, and manufacturing processes.
Duties
- Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to quality standards.
- Own engineering execution from RFQ through production handover, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Review and approve engineering designs, estimates, and quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Lead design reviews, project meetings, and represent engineering in production and management meetings.
- Provide technical leadership and support to operations and the shop floor to resolve design, quality, and manufacturability issues.
- Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and project management to maintain workflow and project momentum.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business and new opportunities.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years proven experience in engineering management within a manufacturing environment.
