Waycon Manufacturing is led by a group of experienced engineers and tradespeople equipped with extensive tooling and equipment.

Our welding fabrication capabilities consist of carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum. We have our CSA standard W47.1 fusion welding of steel and W47.2 fusion welding of aluminum and have dedicated carbon and stainless steel departments specializing in the design, manufacturing and installation of various industrial equipment and machinery.

We are looking for experienced Steel Fabricator Welder Journeymen to join our team. Suitable candidates should have good dexterity, take pride in their work, and pay close attention to detail to accurately perform welding operations according to welding process specifications and our safety and quality standards.

Skills
  • Strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Proficient in custom fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret welding and schematic blueprints
  • Detail-oriented and highly precise in quality assurance.
  • Ability to operate manual, semi, and fully automated welding equipment.
Duties
  • Fabricate and inspect finished parts for quality and blueprint accuracy.
  • Weld flux core, metal core, and hardwire techniques.
  • Safely handle overhead cranes, cutting torches, and other appropriate welding tools.
  • Clean and organize the work area daily. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Journeyman Metal Fabricator or welder with a minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, and troubleshooting.
  • CWB-certified in flux-cored arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, and gas metal arc welding, ultimately holding a valid welding certificate.
Job Requirements
  • Excellent metal finishing skill with 3 years experience.
  • Hold high quality and safety standards in workmanship.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively in team environment.
Working Hours
  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Afternoon shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2 AM.
