Millwright Maintenance

Description

Waycon Manufacturing is led by a team of experienced mechanical engineers and tradespeople equipped with extensive tooling, CNC machines and cranes. We are seeking an experienced Millwright for maintenance responsible for the daily upkeep of all equipment. You will also support the assembly department.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance practices.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

Duties

Perform regular and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
Conduct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Assist in the assembly of equipment and machinery as required.

Education/Experience Requirements

Certificate or diploma in Millwright or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar environment.
Familiarity with reading technical drawings and performing machinery setups.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance requests and work varying shifts as needed.
Recommend and implement the organization, storing and labelling of tools and materials throughout the facility to help route materials, tools, and jobs correctly.
Document inventory count.
Assemble OEM machinery and equipment.
Install reinforced cabs with custom electrical, hydraulics and HVAC.
Plan, organize and carry out the removal of misc. redundant materials, tools, equipment throughout the facility.
